Electronic composer and multi-instrumentalist, George Sarah's latest album serves as a best of collection culled from his recent works. The set stands as an expectedly gorgeous, albeit occasionally scattershot, listen, with trippy blipping instrumentals riding waves of bass and crumpled electronic elements like "Solace" set against the pretty acoustic and orchestral flutter of "Anna", with lovely hushed vocals from Wild Colonials' Angela McCluskey and The Pogues' James Fearnley on accordion. The tracks are strikingly beautiful, but it can feel like you are listening to completely different albums from one song to the next. Though the lush flow of "Emo", with the cool breeze of Save Ferris' Monique Powell lending a bit of vocals to the mix, and the trip-hop beat and jazz guitar of "Lament" or hypnotically twirling club-thump of "Drag Ass" each a having decidedly different vibe, you are left with the impression that you definitely want more of Sarah's music in your collection.
