Start your holiday weekend off on Wednesday with the first of two back-to-back excellent shows this week. We did not find much in the way of worthwhile shows this weekend, so use that time to recover from the PS I Love You and Dry The River goodness, and rest up for next week.

Crazy talented indie rock duo, PS I Love You hit the Schubas stage Wednesday night for what should be a killer set. We highly recommended their fantastic sophomore album, Death Dreams, earlier this month thanks to its fuzzed-out distortion and raw, emotional vocals. Having heard the walls of crashing distortion from Silversun Pickups at Schubas way back when, we can only imagine PS I Love You's amazing layers of sound will sound brilliant at our favorite small-sized venue.

We are not quite sure how there are still tickets available for this one, but you might want to stop reading now, buy your ticket, and come back to read the rest. UK folk rockers, Dry The River are sure to be one of your new favorite bands as soon as their burly take on folk music hits your ears. They are set to light up Lollapalooza stages in August, so the chance to catch them before the masses fall in love with them, at a venue this small, should be taken without question.
